Ways You Can Help

WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO JOIN US AT THE NEXT PTC MEETING ON THE SAEL CAMPUS, TUES, May 14, AT 5.30 PM.
We ask that interested parents commit to coordinating various key positions for events this year (see below). **PTC ONLY MEETS 1x PER MONTH SEPTEMBER-JUNE.
**THESE STUDENT-CENTERED EVENTS CANNOT HAPPEN WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!**
—WE WILL FACILITATE THIS YEAR’S VOLUNTEER SIGN UP PLAN.
—We ask that each family SIGN UP FOR AT LEAST ONE EVENT OR JOB DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!
—You also have the OPTION of HELPING CONTRIBUTE FOOD/DRINKS to the programs if you can’t help at the time of the event (ie., dances, Staff Appreciation Week, etc.). Those will have specific sign ups a couple of weeks prior to the date throughout the year and you can just drop off items at school.

— Sport Banquet Coordinator (end of year) __________________
—Graduation Coordinator (June)__________________
—All Family Meeting Coordinator (Spring only) __________________
—The Snack Shop Coordinators (Three Parents throughout the year) - Robin Nichols, Misha Brown, __________________
—Community Communications Coordinator (Facebook, signups, etc., on-going) - Sarah Schwartz, __________________ (need replacement next year)
We need some parent volunteers for the SAEL Snack Shack. The kiddos love having these options and there are many, many openings in the 2023-24 schedule. If you haven’t volunteered this year, please reach out to Robin Nichols, snack shack coordinator, as there have been some changes to the system. Also, snack shack volunteers are running the free lunch gleaning program to keep food from ending up in the trash.

For the Snack Shack we are taking donations of the following items:
-Boxes of Capri Suns
-Boxes of flavored sparkling water
-Fruit Roll Ups/packs
-Packs of Chips/popcorn/pretzels (single serving packs)
-Easy to heat meals like burritos, noodle cups, or Hot Pockets
Feel free to drop them off at the school.

May 2nd - New 9th Orientation night
May 6th to 10th - Staff Appreciation Week (Sign Up coming)
May 14th- PTC meeting at 5.30 pm
May 17th- Prom - 6:30-9:30 PM
Location is the Miners Foundry in N.C.
