Tim Reid represents our authorizing school district, Nevada Joint Union High School District, on the Board of Directors. Tim Reid serves as the director of pupil services at Nevada Joint Union High School District. As part of the leadership team, he focuses on ensuring all students learn at high levels and maintains an unyielding focus on collaboration, culture, and results.

With more than 15 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, Tim has served staff and families by creating and maintaining a healthy school culture and promoting system fidelity. He has been the lead administrator for the Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, Emotional Disturbed, and Transition/WorkAbility transition programs and has participated in nearly 2,000 IEP meetings. In addition, he has provided Pro-ACT training for the district, facilitated training related to special and general education, guided all departments to ensure that staff members follow best practices and the laws and regulations of special education, and professionally mediated with parents and advocates to develop plans to best serve students. As a teacher Tim's background is in Agriculture education, mostly teaching in the shop environment. In the classroom. He also is an adjunct faculty at Seirrs College teaching, Agriculture Business, and Economics.  


Tim has also been involved in all aspects of agriculture production. Growing up on a cattle and horse ranch Tim began to make all the management decisions on the family ranch starting at age 16. The cattle industry has been Tim’s main focus working at all levels of production and to this day operating a Cow/Calf operation. Moreover, Tim has spent two years in the produce industry traveling across the state of California in quality assurance, and managing cold chains. HACCAP plans, in field harvesting and production. Tim also had extensive knowledge of the equine industry, showing, training, and riding horses for over 30 years.


Tim holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Capella University, along with his Administrative Service Credential and his Master of Science in Agriculture Education at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He holds a Single Subject Teaching Credential, in Agriculture and a Specialized Teaching Credential in Agriculture. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the Association of California School Administrators, and managers all of the district training and has been extensity trained on physical restraint, assault crisis training, and de-escalation.
